Cyber security is a board-level responsibility and intrinsically linked to ESG risk. What are the strategic, regulatory and commercial imperatives of cybersecurity management?

Evolving geopolitical threats have facilitated prolific cyber risk and state-level tools are now available to average hackers. In the third quarter of 2022 global cyber attacks were reported to have risen by 28% compared to the same period in 2021. The devastating impact that a security breach can have on people, asset value and business reputation underlines the importance of effective digital governance for resilience and competitive advantage. To what extent have the emerging threats and the rapid rate of digital adoption increased exposure and vulnerability within companies, financial systems and supply chains? What will be the impact of new, stricter regulation on the responsibility of boards and executive teams?

This drinks reception and panel on Cyber Security: A Leadership Priority, hosted by the Financial Times in partnership with Assured Cyber Protection and EY, will bring corporate leaders together to discuss ways to assess the risks, build resilience and safeguard assets, employees and customers. This high-level event will take place on the side-lines of the World Economic forum Annual Meeting in Davos.
